Margerita and I's duet performance

I know this is a completely irrelevant topic to most people but I honestly have nothing else super interesting and "happy" to talk about.  Last Thursday (3/11) last period, after we had a whole period to stretch, Ms Farrell was wondering if my friend Margereta and I wanted to show our duet (which we will be performing at the end of the year show) to everyone. I was honestly super nervous, but the one point I got super excited/surprised was when I picked her up and spun her around and everyone started cheering. It was obvious that everyone was shipping us. I wanted to write this not only because I have nothing else to write about, but because people shouldn't always assume the worst, especially in performing arts. I bet many people out there think that everything is predictable, or at least almost everything, but when you think about it, anything can change at any time.

The End of Salsa

Even though this was due a long time ago, especially considering the fact i'm writing this about some thing that happened after the due date, but I still feel the need to write about this. We had our last salsa performance last Saturday and it was a lot of fun, even though the music was super quiet. I definitely thought that this years performance was better then last years, considering that we didn't learn that many salsa moves, but this year was completely different. Every new move had a story for me. With Intufla double (ignore my spelling) I kept getting told you put my hand on the followers back which I kept forgetting to do. Learning Cetenta was the day of Salsa when I completely lost my rhythm and I had to go home and practice it. Learning Cencio was the first move I couldn't do at first. I remember Ms Rebecca practically spinning me around in circles in order for me to get it. I think this unit proves that fact that practice makes perfect. Ms Rebecca is and always will be a wonderful dance teacher, if she ever reads this... Thank You

Auditions

Even though i'm not auditioning for any schools, the process seems stressful, considering the fact that I get woken up at about 6am so my sister can get ready for her auditions. 3 TIMES. Even though getting woken every Saturday is a little annoying, I know my sister is doing a great job. I'm almost positive she will get her most wanted schools, (Knock on wood)

Salsa

                                         


It's the beginning of salsa for the eighth graders and we are super exited to see miss Rebecca again. We started to work on some of the basics from last year and started to work on some new moves. We have had many difficult classes. Well actually only three, but it felt like a lot. Luckily I was able to get all the steps down. Can't say the same for everybody else :). I hope we will be able to put on an amazing show, just like last time.
